ABefore you start
- Clean the surfaceClean and disinfect the surface where you will prepare the bottle.
- Wash your handsWash your hands with soap and water, then dry them with a clean towel.
- Sterilise the bottleUse a bottle, teat and cap that have been cleaned and sterilised (boiling or a steriliser).
BPreparing
- Boil the water for 5 minutesBring fresh drinking water to the boil and let it boil for 5 minutes.
- Let it cool to 40 °CLet the boiled water cool to 40 °C, lukewarm, before preparing the bottle.
- Water firstPour the exact amount of water shown in the table into the bottle, always the water before the powder.
- Add level scoopsAdd the exact number of scoops from the table. Use only the Nutrimilk scoop, fill it loosely and level it off with the leveller, never pressed, never heaped.
- Close and shakePut the teat and cap on, then shake or swirl until the powder has completely dissolved.
CServing
- Cool it quicklyCool the bottle to feeding temperature under cold running water, or in a bowl of cold water, keeping the water below the cap.
- Check the temperatureShake a few drops onto the inside of your wrist: it should feel lukewarm, never hot.
- Feed, then throw away the restFeed your baby straight away. Throw away any milk left in the bottle, and any feed not finished within 1 hour.
These steps follow the preparation instructions printed on the Nutrimilk tin. The instructions on your tin always come first.
